Dr. Nassif aims to improve public education and community outreach related to joint replacements, as well as create and proactively maintain open communication with other physicians to bring awareness to the program. Other responsibilities include creating and maintaining ongoing positive communications with, and dissemination of, information to members of the joint replacement program team and outside vendors related ongoing activities.

“I look forward to working with Hoag Orthopedic Institute to attain the next generation of innovation in joint replacement,” said Dr. Nassif. “It’s an honor to lead this program among so many tireless, compassionate and dedicated orthopedic surgeons.”

Dr. Nassif earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School where he graduated with honors. Following residency, he continued his training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he focused on hip and knee replacement surgery and adult joint reconstruction. Finally, Dr. Nassif received additional training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in advanced joint reconstructive surgery, limb salvage surgery and the care of benign and malignant tumors of the soft tissue and bone.
