Zimmer Biomat and Apple launch clinical study using Apple Watch and iPhone for 10K knee and hip replacement

Hoag Orthopedic Institute is the only site in Southern California participating in a new study by Zimmer Biomet and Apple which will monitor patients before and after operations using sensors on the Apple Watch and iPhone; provide education and information to patients to help improve their pre- and post-operation care; and provide a communications channel between doctors, caregivers and patients to ask questions, give answer and more, using Zimmer Biomet’s mymobility app.
