Hip Replacement for the Orthopedic Surgeon: On the Other Side of the Scalpel; pt.16 & 17

Just eight days post surgery and already it feels like distant memory for Dr. Alan Beyer, Executive Medical Director of Hoag Orthopedic Institute. He’s now walking without the assistance of a cane, and isn’t taking any more Tylenol. Still just a little sore and plans to go back to work in a few days.
“One of the best decisions I ever made,” adds Dr. Beyer.

12 days post surgery and Dr. Beyer is getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. He’s still walking with a little limp, and uses a cane at the end of the day which is normal. One thing that he found was a little difficult was getting his socks on for first couple weeks. You might need some help with that among other things!
