HOI Opens Beverly Hills Surgery Center

Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI), one of the largest providers of orthopedic care in the U.S., has opened an ambulatory surgery center in Beverly Hills, California. It is Hoag Orthopedic Institute’s second surgery center in Los Angeles, the other located in Marina del Rey.

Hoag Orthopedic Institute Surgery Center - Beverly Hills, located at 9090 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 102, marks the fifth outpatient surgery center HOI operates in southern California. The other three are in Orange County, along with its 70-bed inpatient hospital based in Irvine.

The Beverly Hills surgery center will focus on general musculoskeletal care, particularly minimally-invasive spine surgery and pain management. The latest in surgical-assisted robots will complete the advanced facility.

“We are excited about increasing our footprint to more Los Angeles residents with like-minded physicians who share our philosophy of providing value-based care with high-quality outcomes,” said Kim Mikes, CEO of Hoag Orthopedic Institute.

The Beverly Hills surgery center will be staffed by notable orthopedic, spine and pain management specialists.

“It’s an ideal partnership with HOI as it is a distinctive organization that has demonstrated its model of value-based orthopedic care in all facets of operations, processes and integration with medical staff,” said Alexandre Rasouli, M.D., a Beverly Hills-based spine surgeon who will lead the medical staff. “Our physicians look forward to a long-term successful endeavor with HOI.”

For many years, Hoag Orthopedic has embarked on an expansion into advancing access to outpatient orthopedic care, including total joint replacements and spine and back procedures that used to be more inpatient based.

“As a physician-led organization, HOI’s outstanding patient outcomes are our primary focus in the delivery of orthopedic care and our experience in achieving those outcomes in the surgery center environment means that patients can save on costs, recuperate at home and begin rehabilitation to get back to their lives faster,” added CEO Mikes
