Hoag Orthopedic Institute Named ‘2020-2021 Best Hospital’ by U.S. News & World Report

IRVINE, Calif. [July 28, 2020] – Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI), which performs the most knee and hip joint replacement surgeries in California, has been nationally recognized as a ‘Best Hospital’ in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020-2021 Best Hospitals list. For the 2020-21 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 26 specialties, 10 procedures and conditions. The methodologies used in most areas of care in these rankings are based largely on objective measures such as risk-adjusted survival and readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety, and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators.
