IRVINE, Calif. [July 23, 2019] – Hoag Orthopedic Institute proudly announces that it is once again nationally ranked in the top 50 best orthopedic hospitals of U.S. News & World Report’s “2019-2020 Best Hospitals” list. Additionally, HOI has been rated high performing for hip and knee replacements.
“HOI is honored to be included in U.S. News & World Report’s “2019-2020 Best Hospitals” list,” said Jennifer Mitzner, CEO of Hoag Orthopedic Institute. “Our rank as a nationally recognized healthcare leader is an encouraging affirmation of the work our team has put in to help our patients achieve their goals and fulfill our promise of “We Get You Back to You”.”
U.S. News & World Report has become a leading guide for the ranking of hospitals nationally, and with more than one million Americans receiving joint replacements each year, and millions more receiving other orthopedic surgeries, those in pain can use these rankings in identifying the highest performing hospitals and physicians.
The methodologies used in most areas of care in these rankings are based largely on objective measures such as risk-adjusted survival and readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators.
Hoag Orthopedic Institute, the highest volume provider of joint replacements in California, has received consistent recognition from various publications and health care organizations for its patient-focused services since opening in 2010.
