About Dr. Scott K. Forman

Dr. Forman is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon in private practice, since 1992, in Newport Beach, California. His specialty interests include sports medicine of the knee, shoulder and foot and ankle. He has been a contributing author on several of the YOU book series including, YOU: The Owner’s Manual, YOU: On a Diet and YOU: Staying Fit, Staying Young. Dr. Forman was a featured health expert on the Discovery Channel’s Second Opinion. Additionally, he has been a guest on Oprah Radio with Dr. Oz.

Dr. Forman was born in Seattle, Washington and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from UCLA (1982, 1986). He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia University, New York in 1991.

In part for his involvement in community based charities, such as the Harvester’s Food Bank, SOS Clinic and Pacific Coast Triathlon, he is a three-time recipient of the Physician of Excellence Award, as determined by the Orange County Medical Association and published in Orange Coast Magazine.

When asked about the goal of California Orthopaedic Specialists, Dr. Forman stated, “Care without compromise. To see every patient as an individual with time set aside just for them. In this regard we hope to excel. We feel that we will.”
