About Dr. Steve Kang

Dr. Kang is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot & ankle surgery. His practice focuses on reconstructive surgery, foot and ankle fracture care, ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction, minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures, and work and sports injuries. He also has an acute interest in foot and ankle arthritis care, including total ankle replacement.

Dr. Kang was born and raised in Southern California. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern California, where he graduated summa cum laude, Dr. Kang completed his Medical Doctorate degree at the USC Keck School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center, working with Dr. David Thordarson. Afterwards, he finished his fellowship training in foot & ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC under the guidance of Drs. Robert Anderson, W. Hodges Davis, Bruce Cohen, and Carroll Jones.

He is an attending orthopaedic surgeon at Hoag Orthopaedic Institute in Irvine, CA.
