National leaders in spine surgery recently convened in Newport Beach for the 3rd annual Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI) Spine Symposium, hosted by Hoag Orthopedics, the research and education nonprofit organization founded by Hoag Orthopedic Institute surgeons. Dr. Vaccaro shared insights into successful orthopedic practice models nationwide and highlighted Hoag Orthopedic Institute as a leading example of a thriving physician-owned organization.

“Our 3rd annual HOI Spine Symposium exceeded expectations with the participation of Dr. Vaccaro and our distinguished colleagues from across the nation,” said Jeremy Smith, MD, Division Chief of Spine Surgery at Hoag Orthopedic Institute.

Dr. Smith welcomed attendees and opened the symposium alongside fellow HOI-affiliated spine surgeons Gerald Alexander, MD, Jeffrey Deckey, MD, Jason Liauw, MDCasey Slattery, MD, Jon White, MD, and former HOI fellow Dami Oluyede, MD, who moderated discussions throughout the day.
