About Dr. Gerald J. Alexander
Dr. Gerald Alexander is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He has helped pioneer cutting-edge techniques including artificial disc replacement, outpatient microsurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. Using modern surgical techniques, Dr. Alexander has performed hundreds of successful minimally invasive outpatient surgical procedures.
Dr. Alexander attended medical school at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif., subsequently serving his orthopedic surgery residency at Loma Linda as well. He then completed a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery and went on to UCLA for fellowship training in spinal surgery
Dr. Alexander is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the California Orthopaedic Association and the Orange County Medical Association. He has been awarded “Top Doctor” in “Orange County by the Orange County Medical Association and Orange Coast Magazine.
Dr. Alexander grew up in Edmonton, Canada, and moved to California for undergraduate studies in 1984. He has been practicing in Orange County since 1999.
