About Dr. Rojeh Melikian

Dr. Rojeh Melikian is a board-certified, Harvard and Emory University trained spine surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive microsurgical and microendoscopic techniques to treat a wide variety of spinal disorders including disc herniations, neck or back degeneration, spinal stenosis, tumors and fractures. He has expertise in motion-preserving techniques such as artificial disk replacement and conducts research on non-surgical stem cell therapies. 

After graduating with top honors and summa cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience from UCLA, Dr. Melikian completed medical school at the University of Southern California, where he was nominated to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated with highest distinction as one of the top students in his class. Following medical school, Dr. Melikian completed his surgical training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program, where he published numerous articles and was appointed as Chief Resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He also received the Partners in Excellence Award for his performance and contributions “above and beyond the call of duty.” As a Spine Fellow at Emory University, Dr. Melikian received combined orthopedic and neurosurgical training in complex spinal surgery and scoliosis, as well as spine tumors. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and outdoor activities such as skiing.
