Guiding You Through Your Stay With Us

Working your way through the surgery process can be a challenge. There are several appointments that need to be made prior to your surgery and preparations for your return home that must be taken care of. That is why Hoag Orthopedic Institute offers you a helping hand or liaison, which we call a “nurse navigator.” This nurse is your medical resource for any questions you may have and will help guide you through your surgical journey with our institute. You will be contacted by your nurse before surgery to review your health history, medications, surgical instructions, and discharge plans.

While the journey through surgery or other medical treatments can cause anxiety, you can rest easy knowing a trusted resource is here to assist you and your family. Our nurse navigators are part of the health care team that is available throughout the week, working with physical therapists, discharge planners, and nursing staff to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
