Dr. David Kruse weighs in on how best to ease into your New Years resolution to hit the
gym. Plan to dial back exercise until you reach a point you can safely
move to the next level. That might mean running a mile every other day
for a couple weeks, then progressing to a mile and a half for a period
before doing two miles, and so on. Spinners might want to take a couple
beginner classes before saddling up for a full 45- or 60-minute sweat session.
